Margo

Hello

Hey there! How about a new hat? Vivian created the “Margo” hat for the 2023 Spring/Summer season.

The Inspiration

We love everything about this hat. The colours are gorgeous — inspired by the artwork of Sveta Osborne, seen here below.

The Hat

Here is Hattingdon, in her new Margo hat for Spring/Summer 2023. She looks stunning!

Hattingdon chose to wear this charming new hat at a flirtatious angle. Absolutely darling.

We hope you love the Margo hat as much as we do, and it brings you a “hatful of smiles”.

Into the green

Very Well Mind tells us the following about the color green:

“Typically, green symbolizes life, fertility, renewal, and resurrection. Green is a mix of yellow (which symbolizes glory and energy) and blue (which relates to God and the heavens).”

Let’s take a look at some gloriously heavenly hats in green.

The hat coming up is a vintage beauty from 2016, and very possibly the pièce de résistance of Hattingdon’s entire collection of green hats. Vivian named the hat Susannah. Isn’t she sweeeeeet?

We hope you love this collection.

Poster Splash

Hello. Happy Friday!

Vivian is experimenting with Hattingdon art posters. We are getting a lot of interest in it.

For fun, she created a multi image poster using the Splash hat design, and adding a black border so we can see what it might look like framed.

What do you think?

Vivian is very busy deciding on what print-on-demand company to use for Hattingdon products. There have been a lot of changes lately among the vendors we have used — some good; some not so good. And some new ones. So she is ordering samples, and hopefully will make a final decision very soon. Stay tuned!

Safe hugs, Hattingdon & Co.

Vivian’s Fave Hats: Letter S

Greetings and salutations. There is some big time nostalgia going on here today. Both of these designs launched Hattingdon Horses, and made them the incredibly popular cartoon horses they became.

Let’s get down to business. Here are Vivian’s selections.

Classic Hat

When this hat was created all those many moons ago, neither Vivian nor any of the rest of us had any idea just how cherished the Savannah hat would become. Hattingdon Horses really began with Curtis, Savannah and Star, and of course, Belle. They were our Fab Four in our early years.

Savannah Hattingdon.

The Savannah classic hat is created in the most luscious shade of lipstick pink with three white lilies dancing across the across the front. Simply sweet . . . . adorable.

Then there was Star.

Star Hattingdon.

Star Hattingdon wears a black cowboy hat with a blue hatband, and a white star.

Curtis launched Hattingdon Horses and will forever be an icon. However, from the moment of his appearance, Star became a superstar for oh so many years, and is still going strong today.

Aren’t they great? Sigh.

Kimora

by Hattingdon Staff

Mrs Farrell, the creator of Hattingdon® Horses, has made many, many hats for the popular cartoon equines over the years — hundreds of them. Amazingly she never seems to run out of ideas. The ones that are shall we say — a bit “extraordinary” — always seem to be her favourites. Here is an example.

At the beginning of last year, Farrell opened Photoshop, selected one of her basic templates, and began adding layers of lines and boxes and rectangles until she had what you see below.

Hattingdon wears a Japanese and art deco inspired black and white headdress.

It has a sort of Deco / Japanese flavor to it, doesn’t it?

See you again soon!

P.S. Wondering about the name Kimora? Combining Kimberly and Ora, it has American origins and means “the golden meadow.” This stylish name is shared with American model and designer Kimora Lee Simmons, who founded the Baby Phat clothing line. Source.
